ARRIVAL AND SKETCHING FROM LIFE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

An afternoon session, starting with a workshop that includes a trip out to sketch cranes and watch the cranes and starlings returning to their roosts.

21 November

DRAWING FROM HIDE AND FROM LIFE

In the morning until 10.30 am, drawing birds of prey from a hide. We then move on to the Casa de Labor for a theory session, using the sketches to complete a drawing of the birds observed that morning.

In the afternoon, a theory session on drawing in the studio before heading out to sketch the common crane at their roost in the countryside.

About the artist

José Antonio Sencianes, a graduate of the San Telmo School of Fine Arts in Málaga, has worked with and collaborated with publishers and institutions across Europe on the production of educational materials, exhibitions, visitor centres and publications.

Material

Each participant should bring their own equipment.

Binoculars and/or a telescope, pencil, watercolours, paintbrushes, good-quality watercolour paper, sketchbook.
