EL TARAY - ANDÚJAR

Among eagles and lynxes: El Taray and the mountain range of Andujar

20–26 October 2026

Summary

Two of the greatest icons of Iberian wildlife in a single trip. We’ll start by photographing some of Spain’s most spectacular birds of prey from the hides at El Taray, where we may spot the Iberian imperial eagle, Bonelli’s eagle, goshawk or marsh harrier, before heading to the mountain range of Andujar in search of the king of iberian wildlife: the iberian lynx.

An experience designed for nature photographers who want to maximise their chances of capturing unforgettable images, combining specialist hides, wildlife watching and some of the finest natural settings on the Iberian Peninsula.

Recommendations

This trip is designed for nature photographers seeking an immersive experience in some of the most iconic habitats for Iberian wildlife. To make the most of each day, we recommend bringing photographic equipment suitable for medium- and long-range wildlife photography, including telephoto lenses (a minimum of 400mm is recommended), a sturdy tripod and, if possible, a monopod for sessions in hides.

During the second part of the trip, in the mountain range of Andujar, the focus is on observing and photographing the Iberian lynx, one of Europe’s most iconic and elusive species. It is essential here to follow the tour leader’s instructions at all times, to remain silent and to minimise any movement that might disturb the animals’ natural behaviour.

We recommend wearing neutral or earthy colours, comfortable layered clothing (especially in autumn and winter), warm clothing for waiting periods, and footwear suitable for uneven terrain.
