Over the course of several days, we will explore different areas of the Cantabrian Range in search of the iconic iberian wolf, one of the most fascinating species and one of the hardest to spot in the wild.
As well as the wolf, the richness of these ecosystems will offer us excellent opportunities to photograph large birds of prey, such as the golden eagle, as well as a diverse community of forest birds that inhabit the Cantabrian forests and mountains. A getaway that combines excitement, nature and photography in a stunning setting, always in line with the principles of responsible ecotourism.

Recommendations
For this getaway, we recommend bringing a telephoto lens of between 400 and 600 mm, or an equivalent zoom lens (100–500 mm, 150–600 mm or 200–600 mm), which is ideal for photographing mammals and birds whilst always maintaining a respectful distance.
It is also advisable to have a second camera body with a shorter lens for landscape photography or environmental shots, as well as spare batteries, sufficient memory cards and a tripod or monopod for observation sessions. As much of the activity takes place during the early and late hours of the day, it is advisable to have a camera that performs well in low light.
The excursions will take place in mountainous and woodland environments, so we recommend wearing comfortable technical clothing, breathable technical clothing suitable for changing temperatures. It is advisable to dress in layers and to bring a waterproof jacket and a windbreaker.
It is essential to wear hiking boots with good grip and a comfortable rucksack to carry your camera equipment. It is also recommended that you wear discreet, low-key colours to ensure you can observe the wildlife unobtrusively.
