Macro photography of the Isabelina butterfly

 With expert entomologists from Insectpark

Photography

We invite you to take part in a unique photographic experience in the heart of the countryside, designed especially for lovers of macro, entomological and small wildlife photography, with the Isabelina butterfly taking centre stage: one of the most fascinating and rare insects in our local wildlife.

During this field trip, we will explore the natural environments of the Sierra de Guadarrama (Madrid) to locate and photograph Isabella butterflies (Graellsia isabellae) and other small inhabitants of the ecosystem under ideal viewing conditions. You will learn to spot behaviours, make the most of the light and approach fascinating species such as Isabella butterflies and other moths in a respectful manner.

The event is designed for both amateur and experienced photographers who want to enjoy a day with a difference, combining nature, observation and close-up photography. The success of the event and the preparation of the photography set-ups will be overseen by expert entomologists from Insectparkfrom a Centre for Scientific and Cultural Outreach on Nature, enabling participants to practise approach and composition techniques in controlled conditions, thereby ensuring the best possible chance of capturing high-quality images of this challenging species.

A perfect opportunity to add one of the most iconic species of Iberian wildlife to your photo collection, whilst enjoying a day out in the countryside with other nature photography enthusiasts.
