This hide is situated next to some tamarisk trees, which the Eurasian Penduline Tit frequently uses to build its nest. Whilst carrying out this task, it visits the feeder in search of the materials it needs to construct its intricate nest, providing an opportunity to capture some striking photographs as it gathers seeds from the tamarisk. Spring – summer: the hide is very busy with the Eurasian Penduline Tit as the main species, although many other species of birds, both forest and reed birds, can also be photographed. Autumnal migration: although the passage through El Taray is greatly affected by the flood level in La Mancha Húmeda, this is a very interesting spot at this time of year, as many woodland birds visit the feeder, such as the Grey Wagtail, alongside various Common Chiffchaffs. When the water level in the lagoon drops, it is not uncommon to also photograph the Water Rail.
