A feeding and watering station nestled amongst the reed beds of La Masiega. Situated on the outskirts of the main lagoon, beside the Compuertas Canal, it is located in an area that floods periodically. At such times, it can only be reached by boat from the shore. Spring: From April onwards, Common Reed Warbler, Western Yellow Wagtail and other summer birds begin to arrive. In good breeding years for the Bearded Reedling, this species may be present from May or June onwards and throughout the summer. Autumnal passage: from late June or early July, the return of migratory birds such as the Sedge Warbler, the Woodchat Shrike and the Common Chiffchaff begins to be noticed at this hide. Some of these species remain at El Taray for weeks or months (as is the case with the bluethroat), remaining loyal to this site. In some winters, this is the main hide for spotting the bearded reedling.
