During the spring and summer seasons, conditions on the estate change significantly. This, combined with the arrival of migratory birds, offers a range of possibilities that vary from week to week. To make the most of these, our guides use mobile hides to achieve the best possible results. Among the waders most commonly spotted are pied avocets, black-winged stilts,kentish plovers, spotted and common redshanks, wood sandpipers and common sandpipers. However, from the same locations, it is often possible to photograph collared pratincoles, eurasian stone-curlews, pin-tailed sandgrouse, as well as glossy ibis, purple heron, little egret and common kingfisher. These hides are also often used to photograph european bee-eaters when they arrive in spring and settle in a particular area of the estate.
